Emily Griffith’s Opportunity School Campus is one of Denver’s most significant landmarks, which serves as a memorial to the school’s founder, Emily Griffith, and the school’s 1.6 million alumni, who have collectively influenced the development of Denver. Given the uncertain future of this profoundly important public property, any decisions the Denver Public School Board makes concerning the future of the property must be fully public, giving any interested parties the ability to explore all potential future uses of this historic facility.

This page is dedicated to teaching the public about this iconic public school that has been supported by taxes from the City and County of Denver, State of Colorado, and federal government for nearly 100 years.  Opportunity School's campus is located in the heart of Denver, where it takes up the entire block south of Welton St. and 13th St., to the intersection where Glenarm Pl. and 12th St. meet Colfax Ave.  This page will keep you updated and informed about the upcoming real estate deal of this public property teach you about the the role this vitally important school has played in the history of Denver by sharing stories and memories related to the school from some of its 1.6 million alumni.
